6 Reasons I Love My Targus Versavu iPad Mini Case
A Review of the Targus Versavu iPad Mini Case
I recently got an iPad mini (which I totally love) and immediately went looking for the right case for me. I was looking for an ipad mini cover that is quality built, good looking, and strong enough to protect it.
I was not concerned with having a keyboard built into the case, because I plan to carry it in my purse, and would rather not have to always carry a keyboard (after all, if you always want the keyboard, is the iPad mini the best choice anyway?).
I wanted something light and strong and sexy, and the Targus Versavu iPad mini case is exactly what I wanted.
Here is why I think this is one of the best iPad mini cases...

1. It's Red!

4. It's Got Apple Pride
Sexy Sexy Apple Pride
So that circle obviously provides a great service in allowing you to swivel the iPad 360 degrees, but it also does one other great service....it flashes your iPad logo at all the tech voyeurs at the coffee shop.
And, listen up guys, it has been scientifically proven that Mac owners are sexier than Windows owners (source). In fact, they've been proven to be smarter, sexier, and to make more money than their non-apple counterparts (source). All three things make you a much more appealing mate. (wink wink)
Now, in case you are concerned that your sexy might not be visible to the untrained eye, you can show them that you are an Apple user and therefore sexier, by flashing your logo via this Targus Versavu case.

2. It Acts as a Landscape Stand
Viewing in Landscape
If I'm watching a video, browsing the web, or playing Simpsons tapped Out, I've my iPad sitting nicely in landscape direction. The Targus Versavu case does this perfectly.

6. It Can Protect the Camera Lens
Safe Camera Lenses are Happy Camera Lenses - The Targus Versavu iPad Mini Case Can Protect the Camera Lens
When in use, obviously I would want to keep the camera lens exposed so I can catch the occasional epic photo or video. However, when I toss my iPad mini into my purse, I like to know that that camera lens won't get scratched or even smudged by a rogue Starburst in there (don't be judgin').
By swiveling my iPad in its infinitely swivelable Targus Versavu case, I can totally protect my camera lens from hazardous candy incidents.
You can see in the image above how the camera can be exposed or hidden depending on how it is swiveled before closing (notice the apple facing up or down).

5. It's Good Quality
This case is built really well. The stitching is strong and will not wear easily. The materials are quality and you can tell they will stand up to a great deal of use.
The swivel circle is made of a strong plastic that is quality and won't crack or break. Overall this is a well made case that will protect your iPad mini for a long time.
The Features of The Targus Versavu
Targus Versavu VS Targus Vuscape
Slim VS Slimmer
The case I have is the Targus Versavu. There is another Targus case, the Tarvus Vuscape which at first glance looks very similar to the Versavu.
The Vuscape is shown below. This case is very slim (slimmer than the Versavu shown on the right), however it is not as protective, and not as functional.
In order to stand up the Vuscape, you must remove two corners from one side of the case, and you can only use the stand in landscape view.
On the other hand, the Versavu has the 360° swivel circle letting you stand it up in landscape or portrait view, and all four corners in the case as they snap into place.
There Are Some Options

The Targus Versavu is available in both red and black.
Want a Keyboard?
I like that my case is slim and fits well in my purse. I don't depend on the keyboard enough to need to carry it with me all the time, but maybe you do.
